Brammer Buck & Hickman’s Compressed Air System Audits address this through identifying leaks and providing recommendations to improve the efficiency of that system.
The company uses state-of-the-art ultrasonic technology to identify the source of air leaks. It provides a detailed report on any leakage found in the system, showing the location, size and an estimated monetary value for each leak, along with photographs of the part or area which is leaking and a list of parts or action required to fix the problem.
The audits help to optimise use of compressed air, reduce wasted energy and noise, extend equipment life and increase productivity.
Brammer Buck and Hickman introduced a leak detection programme at Magna Exterior Systems, a manufacturer of lightweight structural components for the automotive market. Over three years it has been running, the number of compressors has been reduced from three in constant use to two plus a back-up. Energy savings of over £130,000 have been made. The company is using two-thirds as much energy as previously, and servicing costs have been reduced.
