National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), which oversees the power generation industry in India, has turned to Indestructible Paint Ltd for a key element of its maintenance programme. The performance coating manufacturer has achieved approved supplier status for two products under NTPC’s industrial gas turbine overhaul programme. It is supplying Ipcote Sacrificial Aluminium Basecoat, proven in aero engine and industrial gas turbine applications and designed to resist abrasion, corrosion and chemical action, and Ipseal inorganic sealcoat, which provides a non-conductive barrier coating. The company is also assisting its distributor, Matcon Hicoats PVT Ltd, to develop a mobile application and curing facility.
